Our Trap Range

Our Trap Events can be found here: Trap Events

One of LVSA’s first (and only) assets listed in our articles of incorporation in 1937 was a Target Trap worth $40. Our trap program has been active ever since.

We have 2 trap houses at LVSA that we use every Friday for trap practice. Trap practice runs from Noon to dusk.

Trap practice is open to the public and we encourage anyone from polished clay busters to new shooters to join us. Members of our trap committee are willing to help anyone interested in trying trap shooting or offer a refresher to shooters that have not stepped to the line in a while.

We also hold Lewis Class Trap shoots on the 3rd and 5th Sundays of the month. These shoots are open to the public. We begin shooting at 9AM and conclude around 3PM. Regardless of your skill level, the Lewis Class Format gives every shooter a chance. MAYBE EXPLAIN LEWIS CLASS SHOOTS HERE.

We have breakfast available from 8:30-10:30 am during our Lewis Class Shoots during the months of September through May.

Safety is always our primary concern on any Lebanon Valley Sportsmen range. Anyone acting in an unsafe manner will be subject to removal from the grounds. Members can be subject to having their membership revoked if they continue to display poor safety procedures. Always review the rules posted on the range each time you arrive.

The trap range may be used by our members from 8AM to dusk unless we are hosting a special event that is open to the public. Please check the web site for range closings and special events.

Anyone under 16 years of age using the range must be accompanied by an adult member.

Members must display their membership card while using the range. A member may bring one guest. Unauthorized people using the range will be considered as trespassers.

A guest may be asked to vacate their station for a member wishing to use the range.

While on the range: Always keep the firearm pointed in a safe direction, keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot, and keep the firearm unloaded until you are ready to shoot.

Only shotguns are permitted on the trap range.

Members may bring their own throwers to the trap range.

Please be aware of your target and what is beyond it.

Please remember that Automatic weapons are not permitted on any LVSA range.

Always make safety your first priority when using the ranges at Lebanon Valley Sportsmen. Review the rules each time you utilize any of our ranges.

I hope to see you on the grounds.
