Rifle Range Page

 

Deviation from the range rules will result in loss of membership.

 

We have 6 bench positions that provide clear shooting lines for 25, 50, and 100 yards.  There are 2 standing positions for 25, 50, and 100 yards.


We use an all wood target supports with 1/2 inch flake board to make it easy to staple your targets.

The firing line is a 15 ft. by 50 ft. roof covered enclosure.  There are 6 bench positions, 2 standing positions, and an enclosed bulletin board. All range rules, range closing dates, and upcoming events are posted on bulletin board.

RULES FOR USE OF RIFLE RANGE 

1.   Paper targets, balloons, or commercially available hanging/swinging targets only.  NO CANS, BOTTLES, OR OTHER OBJECTS THAT LEAVE DEBRIS.

2.   Range is for members only.

3.   A member may bring one guest.

4.   Any member has preference over a guest. A guest has to yield the use of a bench to a member if asked to do so.

5.   A membership card is your only proof of membership. A membership card must be clearly displayed.  There are card holders on the right side of the bench you are using. ANY MEMBER CAN ASK YOU TO LEAVE IF YOU DON’T HAVE YOUR CARD.

6.   Any member or their guest using the range in an unsafe or unsportsmanlike manner is subject to having their membership revoked.

7.   Place targets on back boards down away from 2x4 supports in such a manner that the bullets do not hit the supports.

8.   Firing in the standing position is only allowed in the (2) designated stations.  There will be no firing from in front of or behind bench positions.

9.   Shooting hours are 8:00 AM to dusk.

10. Remove your targets, clean up your spent brass, and put all unwanted brass in the brass buckets. Place all trash in trash containers.

11. No firing of any automatic weapon on the range.

12. Anyone under sixteen (16) years of age MUST be accompanied by an adult member.

13. If anyone is firing a caliber larger than a .22 rimfire then all persons under this roof must wear ear protection.

14. All unauthorized persons using this range are considered to be trespassing.

15. The range is closed the first day of rifle deer season and during club functions. Please see the “Events” Calendar and this page for an updated list of closings.

July 3 until 12PM to accommodate a 3D Archery shoot.

**RANGES CLOSED ON YOUTH SPORTSMEN PROGRAM NIGHTS-Every other Monday from 6-8PM.  June through August **

 

Ranges are always closed during our Hunter Education Classes and the first day of all big game seasons.

The range is closed until 12:00PM on work party Saturdays. The range is closed when we have trap shoots on the 3rd and 5th Sundays of the month.
